Welcome to the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus
Dear Friends of St. Jude Thaddeus,
Welcome to the official website of the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus (Patron of Difficult Cases) in the Province of St. Joseph the Worker (Nigeria and Ghana).
St. Jude Thaddeus has a world-wide reputation for interceding with God for us, especially for those whose cause seems hopeless. We feel privileged to spread devotion to St. Jude in Africa, especially through our Solemn Novena of Masses. When joining with us, you share in the Masses and prayers of all the Dominicans in Nigeria and the Dominicans in other countries of the world, who preach and teach the Good News to millions of people.
The home of our St. Jude Shrine is located at St. Dominic’s Parish in Yaba, Lagos. We are able to relate, through our website, testimonies of our members and friends, sharing our prayers and remembering each other in prayer as we continue our journey home. Please join us in prayer every day of the week, especially during our six yearly Solemn Novenas and the Lenten Triduum of Masses.
Help us by telling your friends about St. Jude Thaddeus or refer them to our website or social media @stjudeyaba and continue to spread devotion to St. Jude Thaddeus, our Wonder Worker, who was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus.
The lighting of candles has always been a tradition in the Catholic Church. Consider having a memorial Candle lit at the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus for one entire year. The white Candles shall stay lit for 24 hours a day, for 365 days for your personal intentions. A small plaque, displaying your name or the name of your loved one or a special intention will be mounted below your candle. St. Francis of Assisi once said, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”

We thank you for your active participation in our yearly scheduled Novena Masses and we do appreciate your relentless supports in helping us spread devotion to St. Jude Thaddeus and bringing hope to our needs in our collective prayer. Please feel free to contact us! Together we will come closer to Jesus, through the Mass and the Eucharist and our prayers, always emulating Him.
Best Regards.
Devotedly yours in Christ,
